Guests are encouraged to relax in many areas. There is an estuary to the south, tide pools to the north, imagine surfing the waves with Dolphin along Baja shores as they frolic in front of the house, study the whale migrations in season. There is great surfing, horse back riding, and colorful light aircraft fly-by from nearby La Salinas looking like flying kites, and parachutes or something Orville and Wilber Wright might be playing with. Stroll through wonderfully interesting beach neighborhoods. The cool Baja nights are perfect to enjoy a beach fire pit or relax with your favorite beverage on the starlit terraces overlooking night time sand and surf. Indoors, the warmth of the ‘Tres Corizons’ fireplace in the main guest area has comfortable lounge seating and reading areas.
There is a small colonia near-by with restaurants, a bakery (panaderia), grocery store, and hardware store. The famous La Fonda restaurant is two minutes away with live music and dancing at night and a great brunch. La Fonda was a favorite haunt of movie stars like Ali McGraw and Steve Mac Queen. Rosarito, Puerto Nuevo and Ensenada are all within minutes for shopping, dining and play. The Valley of Guadelupe’s wine country is an hour’s drive south.
For the comfort and safety of all La Mision patrons, “All Terrain Vehicles,” “Automobiles” and “Fireworks” are strictly regulated on Playa La Mision.
